Hearts like mirrors,

We feel what you feel,

We know when you’re sad,

We know about that dreadful anxiety you try to hide; we feel it when you do

Feeling that sense of the ‘elephant in the room.’

It only takes one look at you to realise,

It wasn’t done on purpose,

You’re just nervous

The vibrations around loom,

A denseness within the room,

Yet a burst of energy,

It can have us confused

We worry,

Because we feel your emotions,

If your heart is racing,

So is ours

Your eyes,

Your body language,

It’s all just a book for us to open up
